The Brooklyn of the High West

high west double rye

One of my favorite cocktails these days is the Brooklyn cocktail.  This how I make it…

2 oz rye
1 oz dry vermouth
1/2 oz Ramazzotti
1/4 oz Maraschino liqueur

Stir.  Strain (I really like it in a rocks glass…who knows why).  No garnish.

I have tried the Brooklyn with all of these ryes…

A bottle of High Rye can cost you almost $50.  Yes, I realize that this may sound excessive for a bottle of whiskey but, believe me, the cost is totally worth it for the taste.  Expecting a big IRS refund?  Have a birthday coming up? Just happen to be rich?

Buy it.  Try it in your Brooklyn.  It’s worth it.
